Martin Luther King, Jr

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."

"Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksand of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of God's children."

"Let freedom ring. And when this happens, and when we allow freedom to ring—when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children—black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics—will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual: "Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!"

In Martin Luther King, Jr I see the power of dreams themselves.... and of giving a genuine voice to those dreams. For Obama, whose name literally means 'The Blessed One', is a sign that King's dream is becoming a reality.

“Since being in India, I am more convinced than ever before that the method of nonviolent resistance is the most potent weapon available to oppressed people in their struggle for justice and human dignity. In a real sense, Mahatma Gandhi embodied in his life certain universal principles that are inherent in the moral structure of the universe, and these principles are as inescapable as the law of gravitation."

And in his endorsement of Gandhi, I see how truth knows no bounds of country, time, or character. For Gandhi's dream continues on through people in different countries who still fight for basic human dignity, while India and Indians stay bent upon dividing the country through religious riots, castism, reservation, and what not.

Krishna

"Your right is only to act intelligently as per the circumstances you face, not on the results of your actions. Do not think that you alone determine your destiny. And don't delude yourself by thinking that your own actions are not caused by force much greater than you yourself" - The Central Message of Krishna's Song: The Bhagvat Gita.

In Krishna, the lover, the charioteer and mastermind of the great war of the Mahabharata, the teacher, and the politician, I see the manifestation of the entire body of Vedic Knowledge. The knowledge that says that we humans ourselves are nothing but biological machines that act on the inputs that we receive through our our eyes, ears, skin, nose, tongue; through the outputs mediums of voice and action. Our minds and intelligence are programmed by our genes, our parents, our friends our teachers, our culture, our media, and many other environmental factors. Our existence is a function of these influences on our body. Our experiences are the evolution of our body from the nothingness of a baby, to the achievement of an adult, and back to the nothingness of an aged person. That is life. Like it or not. That is who we are.

There is no difference between right or wrong, good or evil, energy or matter. They are all reflections of each other. Only those who have eaten the forbidden fruit of the knowledge of good and evil see a difference between the two. Those whose minds can see that at the speed of light all matter is actually energy.... or that at some other speed, all energy will be matter.... that everything that we observe is just because we as organisms are evolving and walking through the universe's matter-energy distribution... as a part of it... they can truly see. For them, war or peace, love or hate, God or Devil... nothing makes a difference anymore. That is the ultimate nirvana. The ultimate peace.

Externally there is no difference between one who has attained Nirvana and one who has not. But internally the one who has attained Nirvana is eternally happy and at peace with himself. Internal happiness and peace is the goal of all religions and practices. Therefore, O humans of the world, care not about which religion you were born with or what path you think is right to attain Nirvana. Just know that the ultimate goal of all religions is the state of inner peace called Nirvana and strive to achieve that inner peace and happiness.

That is what I understood from Krishna and his Gita. And that state of Nirvana is what I strive for everyday of my life.

Albert Einstein

"There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle" - Albert Einstein. In this quote from Einstein, I see an underlying philosophy that I believe guides modern science: the desire to prove that nothing is a miracle, and that everything can be explained by carefully constructed mathematical equations.

I believe in mathematical equations and their ability to predict the future more than anyone else I know. Yet, I believe it was Einstein's dream of formulating a Grand Unified Theory of Everything that 'killed' him. Einstein wanted to believe that everything that humans observed can be explained perfectly by the most perfect language of human beings: Mathematics. He disbelieved that the human mind, or that human observation itself can have limitations. That I believe was the fallacy of the Great Einstein himself. For he, till his last days, was not able to accept the Uncertainity Principle or Quantum Mechanics.

Modern science now knows that there is an inherent uncertainty in everything. That God does play dice with the universe. Or atleast that he has not given the human mind the ability to predict the future perfectly. He has left room for uncertainty, that can only be resolve after events are observed. The future thus is an exciting fourth dimension, not something that can be mapped by computer simulation or equations.

Having said this, I still believe that Einstein's unfulfilled dream of finding the unified theory of everything was a dream worth dedicating a life for. String theory, quantum bounces, and all the other fancy theories that modern physics is formulating enriches our world deeply, as well as enhances our ability to build technology that makes life easier for us. My only wish to modern physics is that it should slowly try to incorporate the fact that what we observe as gravity, or light, or sound, or touch, is all in the human brain. So I feel that a unified theory of everything (from the perspective of the human brain) must include limitations and constants related to the human brain itself. And in effect, the explaination of human phenomenon itself can be soon incorporated into the mathematical equations of physics and economics.

To that dream, I too have dedicated my life to. And I too wish to tackle the problem of a unified theory of everything from the perspective of human beings and social phenomenon.

John Nash

"So at the present time I seem to be thinking rationally again in the style that is characteristic of scientists. However this is not entirely a matter of joy as if someone returned from physical disability to good physical health. One aspect of this is that rationality of thought imposes a limit on a person's concept of his relation to the cosmos. For example, a non-Zoroastrian could think of Zarathustra as simply a madman who led millions of naive followers to adopt a cult of ritual fire worship. But without his "madness" Zarathustra would necessarily have been only another of the millions or billions of human individuals who have lived and then been forgotten." - Excerpt from Nobel Prize Biography.

We call people who relate to the cosmos as a part of them as schizophrenics. We say that something is wrong with their mind. That is the sign of the times.

In the past, those who related to themselves as being a part of nature and one with the wind, water, air, and energy of the universe.... who could see that there were just fragments of the same matter-energy distribution that pervades the universe were considered Prophets of God.

In my mind, the Genius of John Nash is only increased by his prophetic fight against the american system that is so against the concept of God in human beings that it is willing to lock them up in Mental Hospitals. Those who go every Sunday to Church professing that Prophets of God heard voices, are from the same culture that asks the question "Did you hear any voices in your head?" before diagnosing a person with Schizophrenia and putting him on medication to erase those voices. Unless, ofcourse, that person happens to be the president who hears voices about non-existent weapons of destruction in a particular country or somehow sees a person in another country even though he cant find him there.

Such I believe is the diachotomy that now rules our society that wants to believe in God but its own science is not enabling those who see God everywhere and in everything to ever speak up and share their vision of a unified peaceful world with them.

That is the light in which I see John Nash. His contribution to economics, through Game Theory is immense... and he already has got a Nobel prize for that. But I believe his unrecognized contribution to human society is the ability of a different mind to guide people towards a new way of looking at the world, which is normal, and does not have to be 'cured' through medication. Forgive me O Psychatrists of this world.... for maybe I know not what I say.

Gandhi

As India is under threat from Pakistan once again, I cant help but remember Gandhi's advice to India: Let Jinnah become the first Prime Minister of India, Nehru. Please don't let India get partitioned. For the partition will not let the generations of tomorrow live in peace with each other. There will be terrible riots at the time of partition and violence afterward.

Alas, after Gandhi's purpose was served for us Hindu's and we were near Independence, we ourselves killed him and his dream of a unified India that does not discriminate on the basis of caste, creed, or religion. Somewhere I can see his soul still crying... telling us that he does not want to be the father of a nation that has forgotten all that he stood for, but makes a mockery of his dreams by printing his face on all the wealth that its children are aspiring to build for itself.

In wealth and finance and progress I believe. But not in making a mockery of a person who dreamed a very different future for India, and in whose dream lies the answer to the dichotomy that divides India today.

Marry Jesus

I, Jesus, exist everywhere, and in everything. I am the start, the middle, and the end of everything. I exist. If you want to believe, believe. If you don’t want to believe, don’t believe. But there is no mathematics in this world that can either prove or disprove my existence. So, if you have wasted your time trying to read this post of whosoever has dared to try to write about me, please read on for a while longer and it may help you understand why you call the year you live in 2009 A.D.

For it is my advent that you are all, consciously or unconsciously measuring as you count the years you have lived. It is my advent that you celebrate every Christmas and New Year. Some amongst you believe that I can come back from the dead. To those I say, I can only come back from the dead through your hearts. If you believe in your hearts that a clone DNA can be replicated and brought back to live after a few thousand years, then you are free to believe. If you believe that DNA cannot be replicated and no individual has any way of ‘reincarnating’, having once been slain in the cross, then believe that. I have nothing to prove to you.

The Virgin Mary was a Virgin. My mother’s name was Mary and so was my Girlfriends. And through my sperm and yogic artificial insemination did she revive one part of me from the dead. The other part never died after the crucification. I was buried alive in a chamber built by my wealthy friend John who ensured that the chamber had an escape route that allowed me to leave the site of burial without a trace. After leaving Jesusalem I spent many years in different parts of the world in different names. And in the process my followers grew and I was able to establish the religion of Christianity which is now the community with the most wealth and power in the world.

And not just wealth and power is what it desires – it desires true unconditional love. The love of a mother for her child and of her child for her mother. The west still has not been able to experience that. For these followers of mine, who still seek to understand true love, the most important message of my gospel…. For them I promise, that one day I will come back with my book of love and teach them again what I had taught to the world 2000 years ago. That is my dream.

Till then, I ask you Father – the one and only God who I have worshiped my entire life – please forgive my followers, for they know not what they do. For I was crucified and taken away from them before I could complete my teachings to them. For their deliverance, I pray to you father. Please bring me back to life one day. The day you think that the people who now call themselves Christians are ready for an upgrade to Gospel Version 2.0. A Man. As the Son of a Man shall I walk amidst them once again. That is my prayer to you, O God Almighty. The Omniscient and Omnipotent one.

My last prayer to you. Let thy will, not mine be done.
